Fill the bottle with water in the evening and leave it to rest overnight (6 to 8 hours). Drink it first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach, before coffee or breakfast. Use only still water, never acidic drinks.

Rinse it after each use. Once a week, clean the inside with lemon juice (or white vinegar) and a pinch of fine salt, leave it for 1 to 2 minutes, then rinse and dry thoroughly. 

Do not let a patina build up, either inside or outside, regular cleaning is enough to keep the copper looking bright.

This is perfectly normal and a good sign! Copper naturally interacts with water, giving it its purifying properties. This slight mineral taste often disappears after a few days of use, once the bottle is properly broken in. 

You can also rinse your bottle with lemon water to soften the taste at first.

The patina: Over time, the copper will naturally develop a darker shade through everyday use and contact with water. This is a sign of genuine, authentic copper, not a defect. And it can be removed at any time with a little lemon juice and salt.

Cleaning is simple and natural. Once a week, fill your bottle with a mixture of water and lemon juice (or a spoonful of sea salt), leave it to sit for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. 

Never put your bottle in the dishwasher, and avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges. It's perfectly normal for copper to oxidise slightly over time, this doesn't affect its properties.
